Never be ashamed of the illness you are fighting
Since the age of 18, I have experienced severe headaches/shots on a weekly, if not daily, basis, strictly one-sided. Progressively, the attacks became more frequent and persisted longer. I always took this for granted because everybody has headaches sometimes, right? (I thought)
Living with a chronic disease is like having a full-time job. One that you can’t take a day off from
My cluster headaches started when I just moved out of my parents’ place. I was 22 years
old. Since I experienced a period of time in my puberty having migraines, the GP would
send me home with a “weekend-migraine” diagnosis for about 3 years. Women+severe
headache=migraines
Do we need Real World Evidence cluster headache studies?
Studying Ccuster headaches gets tricky [2]. It is not a common occurrence, most of us are episodic, with sporadic attack frequency and variation, spontaneous remission that cannot specifically be attributed to medication. Clinical and Academic research in cluster headaches commonly face challenges in patient recruitment, retention, and protocol deviation.
How I Used MyClusters to Track My Last Cycle
For years, my attacks had been right-side predominant. Left-sided attacks were rare, and if I had them, they were around a 4-5 pain level. Now, I was getting 7-9 pain level attacks on the left.
For three days straight, I had daily attacks at 10:30 AM. Then, they settled to 3-4 per week.This time, I had MyClusters. I was the first user of my own app, and from Dec 5 to Jan 12, I tracked everything properly.
